Home / Email signature generator
Build a professional email signature in a few minutes with this free email signature generator. Watch it change as you type, then copy it straight into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. No sign-up, no watermark, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
What you can make
Pick a layout, add your colours and your logo or photo, and see every change in a live preview before you copy it.
Side by side, Editorial, Compact or Card. Switch at any time and the preview updates instantly.
Start from a colour set or pick your own main, highlight and text colours. The fonts are web-safe, so your signature looks the same in every inbox.
Add a logo or photo from your website, in a square, rounded or circle shape, sized for Gmail.
Copy it straight into Gmail with the formatting and links, or download it as an HTML file.
Signature generator
Fill in as much or as little as you like. Your signature updates as you type, and nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere.
How to add it to Gmail
Set it up once on a computer and Gmail adds it to new emails and replies, including emails you send from the Gmail app.
Using the Gmail app? Leave the app’s own mobile signature empty and Gmail uses the one you set up on your computer.
Outlook: Copy your signature, then in Outlook open Settings › Accounts › Signatures. Create a new signature, paste it in and save.
Apple Mail: Copy your signature, then open Mail › Settings › Signatures. Choose your account, click +, paste it in and untick “Always match my default message font”.
Logos and photos
Email signatures don’t carry images with them. They point to a picture stored on the web, which your recipient’s email app then loads.
Nobody else can reach it, so recipients see a blank space or a broken image. Pasted-in images are often removed too.
Right-click your logo on your own site and choose Copy image address. Use a PNG or JPG that starts with https://.
Paste your signature first, then use Insert image › Upload in Gmail’s signature editor. Keep it under 100 pixels tall.
FAQs
Questions
How do I add a signature in Gmail?
On a computer, open Gmail, click the cog and choose See all settings. On the General tab, scroll to Signature, click Create new, name it and paste your signature into the box. Under Signature defaults, choose it for new emails and replies, then click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
Can I add my logo or a photo?
Yes. Email images have to be online so the people you email can see them, so use the web address of a PNG or JPG that is already on your website. If your image is only on your computer, paste your signature into Gmail first, then use Insert image › Upload in Gmail’s signature editor. We recommend keeping signature images under 100 pixels tall so they display well in Gmail.
Why does Gmail say my signature is too long?
Gmail allows up to 10,000 characters, and the hidden formatting counts as well as the words you can see. This generator keeps its code short and shows a live count, so you can see how close you are before you copy.
Will my signature show on the Gmail app on my phone?
Yes. Emails sent from the Gmail app use the signature you set up on your computer, as long as you leave the separate mobile signature in the app’s settings empty.
Does the signature work in Outlook and Apple Mail?
Yes. It’s built the way email apps expect, with a table layout, web-safe fonts and the styling written into the signature itself, so it holds together in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail. Rounded corners appear square in older versions of Outlook, and images should be PNG or JPG rather than SVG or WebP.
Is it really free? Do you keep my details?
It is free, with no sign-up and no Nivo Digital branding added to your signature. Everything happens in your browser: we don’t send, store or see the details you type or the images you preview.
Can I make matching signatures for my whole team?
Yes. Pick a layout and colours, then fill in the form once for each person. Keep the same settings and everyone’s signature will match.
