Mobile visitors are left waiting
The site feels fine on the office Wi-Fi, but on a phone the main content takes much longer to appear.
Most slow Elementor websites aren't slow because of Elementor. The usual causes are slow hosting, too many add-on plugins, heavy images, deeply nested layouts and third-party scripts. We find which of those apply to your site, fix them in order of impact and measure the difference using Google's Core Web Vitals.
Faster pages make it easier for visitors to stay, read and get in touch.

Warning signs
Speed problems rarely announce themselves. These are the ones owners tend to notice first.
Sign 01
The site feels fine on the office Wi-Fi, but on a phone the main content takes much longer to appear.
Sign 02
Google Search Console lists your pages as 'Poor' or 'Need improvement' for LCP, INP or CLS.
Sign 03
Text and buttons shift as images, fonts or banners load in, so people tap the wrong thing.
Sign 04
Elementor takes an age to open and save, which often means your live site is running slowly.
How we approach speed
A PageSpeed score comes from a one-off test on a single page. What matters more is how your site performs for real visitors, which is what Google's Core Web Vitals measure: how quickly your main content appears (LCP), how fast a page responds when someone taps or clicks (INP) and how much the layout shifts while it loads (CLS).
Google rates a page as good when, for at least 75% of visits, LCP is 2.5 seconds or less, INP is 200 milliseconds or less and CLS is 0.1 or less. We work to those same thresholds, alongside PageSpeed tests, so the fixes that make the biggest difference to your visitors come first.
We won't promise a perfect score, because nobody honestly can. Instead, you'll see exactly what changed on your key pages and why it matters for your visitors.
Three steps, in order
What we optimise
Every Elementor website is different, which is why we start with the fixes that matter most.
01
If the server is slow to respond, nothing else fully fixes it. That's why we check your PHP version, server caching and whether your hosting is the bottleneck.
02
Poorly set up page caching, CSS and JavaScript delivery can all slow down your site. So we make sure there's only one caching set-up rather than several fighting each other.
03
Elementor has its own performance features, but they need setting up properly to make a difference. That's why we configure options such as optimised asset loading, element caching and locally hosted fonts for your site.
04
Deeply nested sections and columns add extra code to every page. That's why we rebuild them as lighter containers wherever it makes a measurable difference, ready for Elementor v4.
05
Oversized images and too many font files are some of the most common reasons a page loads slowly. So we resize your images into modern formats, lighten your hero section, cut back font files and stop anything loading before it's needed.
06
Add-on packs, chat widgets, trackers and embeds can quietly add weight to every page. That's why we check what each one really costs your site's speed and remove anything you don't use.
Results
These results come from full rebuilds and new builds, not from stand-alone speed optimisation projects. They show what a well-built Elementor site can achieve.

Rebuild · Living Future Europe

New build · Herding Cats
Google PageSpeed score on mobile and desktop
Rebuild
After we rebuilt the site on WordPress and Elementor, Google PageSpeed rose from 32 to 67 on mobile and from 62 to 99 on desktop, and GTmetrix from B (75%) to A (99%).
Rebuild
The previous site scored E on GTmetrix and 44 in Google PageSpeed. After we rebuilt it, it scored A on GTmetrix and 98 in Google PageSpeed.
New build
A brand-new Elementor website scoring 87 on mobile and 98 on desktop in Google PageSpeed, and cleaner than 83% of pages tested by the Website Carbon Calculator.
Cost
The cost depends on the size of your site and what the measurements show. Book a free discovery call to talk through your options. If your site needs more than speed fixes, a website redesign may be the better route, and Elementor maintenance keeps it running fast afterwards.
How it works
Every change is measured before and after, so you can see exactly what improved.
Stage 01
We record Core Web Vitals field data and PageSpeed scores for your key pages before changing anything.
Stage 02
We rank the causes by impact and effort, and agree the plan with you.
Stage 03
We make the changes, checking layouts, forms and tracking as we go.
Stage 04
We re-test the same pages and share before-and-after results. Field data in Search Console is based on the previous 28 days, so it takes time to catch up.
FAQs
Why is my Elementor website slow?
Check three things first: how long your server takes to respond, how many plugins load on every page and how large your main images are. Those are the most common culprits. Our guide walks through how to test each one.
Is Elementor bad for page speed?
No. Elementor adds some weight, but the builder is rarely the main problem. The Elementor sites in our results above score well because hosting, plugins, images and page structure were handled carefully.
Will Elementor v4 make my website faster?
It should help. Elementor v4's atomic elements output leaner code, with one wrapper per element instead of several nested ones. It won't fix slow hosting, heavy images or plugin bloat, and moving an existing site across needs planning.
Can you guarantee a PageSpeed score?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Scores vary between tests and depend on things like third-party scripts. We measure against Google's Core Web Vitals and report before-and-after results on the same pages.
Will a faster site improve my Google rankings?
It can help, but it isn't a guarantee. Core Web Vitals are one of many signals Google uses, so faster pages support your SEO alongside useful content and a clear site structure.
Which caching plugin should I use with Elementor?
It depends on your hosting. Many hosts already provide server-level caching, and adding a second caching plugin on top can cause conflicts. What matters is one caching set-up, configured properly for your site.
Do I need better hosting?
Sometimes. If your server is slow to respond, caching and front-end fixes can only go so far. We'll tell you if hosting is the limit and what your options are.
