When it comes to website design there are normally 3 different ways that designs could be created.
1. Wireframes (what we currently say)
Wireframes are just the bare bones of a site, they tend to be a combination of boxes & shapes that indicate a possible layout, they are not at all detailed.
2. Mockups (what we actually tend to create)
Mockups are more detailed than a wireframe, they use the company’s branding along with imagery and other visual assets to show how a page will look.
These can sometimes be called a high-fidelity wireframe.
3. Prototypes
A prototype is an advanced Mockup, sometimes created in applications like XD which show how elements of the site would act and function when interacted with.
